Reach in Love

Who are we?

My name is Juanita Perez, I am the founder of Hands Reaching Hands, a non-profit organization that operates within Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. For the past 10 years we have been serving the less fortunate, homeless and veteran communities.

Hands Reaching Hands reaches to our community’s less fortunate, poor children & families, homeless and Veterans. We reach those that feel they have been forgotten. Our reach stretches across the border into Mexico helping small villages where children and babies have been left behind to fend for themselves. We supply the village caretakers with clothing, hygiene, toys for the kids and money to purchase food for the month. Even extra for the special birthday cake.

Our Mission

Our mission is to touch as many lives as possible through kindness, support, and encouragement. We strive to create a positive impact, ensuring that every individual we serve feels valued, respected, and cared for.
Through selfless giving, collaboration, and love, we aim to inspire a ripple effect of kindness—proving that even the smallest act of generosity can make a life-changing impact.

Our Vision

We envision a society where:

Our Values

Our organization is built on the foundation of love, respect, and service.

Our Key Focus Areas

Our work is rooted in compassion, generosity, and community involvement—ensuring that no one is left behind.

Serving the Homeless & Less Fortunate

We provide free clothing, shoes, hygiene products, diapers, and other essentials through local donation drives. Our goal is to restore dignity and offer comfort to individuals and families struggling with hardship.

“No Bullying” Back-to-School Event

Each year we host the "No Bullying" Back-to-School event, ensuring that children in lower income families, homeless, and foster care system start the school year with confidence. The impact in these children's lives through this program is long lasting and life changing.

Reaching Borders

Our hand reaches across the border to the Oaxacan children in Mexico. Our hearts were touched by the motherless and fatherless little ones left behind to fend for themselves. We try to make life a little more livable with clothes, shoes, toys and a hot meal. Small in comparison to what is missing.

How we reach those in need

While homelessness and financial lack will never go away, we can try to help those we can reach. We collect used clothes, shoes and backpacks that have been gently used, we wash and repair them giving them new purpose. We’d love to have you join us in this mission.
